Houston Gay Realtor & Real Estate Agent

Leslie Don Wilson

Serving Montrose, the Inner Loop and the entire Houston metro — openly, honestly, and without you ever having to explain yourself.

I'm Leslie Don Wilson: a native Texan, an openly gay real estate agent, and someone who will tell you exactly what you need to hear. If you're searching for a gay Realtor in Houston, TX — someone who understands both this market and the life you're actually living — you've found him.

How a Small-Town Texan Ended Up Selling Houston Real Estate

I grew up in Gainesville, TX, a small town in North Texas right on the Oklahoma border. I look back on it fondly, but career opportunities were few and far between. At 25 I moved to Dallas, made lifelong friends, and spent years as an analyst for three very different companies. I loved the analytical work — I just never found the right fit.

So I got my real estate license. Three months in, I left the analyst career behind and went full time. That analyst brain never went away, though: it's why I read a comp set differently than most agents, and why I'll tell you when the numbers don't support the price.

Today I live in the Washington Corridor and genuinely love the life I've built here. When I'm not working, I'm riding my bike, entertaining at home, or supporting local charities.

Why LGBTQ+ Buyers and Sellers Work With Me

As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, I know that finding a home is about far more than square footage and school zones. It's about feeling safe, comfortable, and genuinely at home on your street — knowing which neighborhoods welcome you and which ones don't.

My clients never have to explain their lives, their relationships, or their concerns to me. I've been there. I get it. Whether you're a couple buying together for the first time, relocating to Houston from somewhere far less welcoming, or a longtime homeowner ready for the next chapter, you'll get clarity, strategy, and zero pretense from start to finish. If something needs to be said, I'll say it — protecting your investment matters more than protecting feelings.

Houston Neighborhoods I Know Cold

Montrose is the historic heart of gay Houston and still the most walkable neighborhood in the city — bungalows, gated townhome enclaves, mid-century condos, and teardown lots all on the same block. Around it sit the Museum District, Midtown, Rice Military, the Washington Corridor, the Houston Heights, EaDo, Upper Kirby, River Oaks, West University Place and Bellaire — each with a completely different price-per-foot story and a completely different flood history. Those two things matter more in Houston than almost anywhere else in the country, and I'll walk you through both before you write an offer.

Outside the Loop, I regularly work in Katy, Sugar Land, Missouri City, Pearland, Friendswood, League City, Cypress, Spring, Kingwood, The Woodlands, Conroe and down to Galveston.

Common Questions

Which Houston neighborhoods are most LGBTQ+ friendly?

Montrose has been the center of gravity for decades, with the Museum District, Midtown, the Houston Heights, Washington Corridor, Rice Military and EaDo close behind. Plenty of my clients also land in Bellaire, University Place, Pearland, Katy and The Woodlands. I'll help you weigh the culture of a neighborhood right alongside the price, the schools, the flood maps and the commute.

Do you work with first-time buyers?

Absolutely — first-time buyers, move-up buyers, luxury clients, investors, sellers, and folks downsizing into their next chapter.

Do you work outside Houston?

I'm licensed statewide in Texas. My team also serves North Texas — see my Dallas gay Realtor page.
